Trade and economic cooperation

The Republic of Belarus provides national treatment to Tajikistan origin products in accordance with the Free Trade Zone Agreement of October 18, 2011. 
Belarus is among Tajikistan's top ten trading partners. Bilateral trade reached a historic high in 2025. 
Belarus's main exports to Tajikistan include timber and wood products, food products, cattle, pharmaceuticals, petroleum products, agricultural machinery and trucks, tires, cables and wires. Belarus's main imports from Tajikistan are dried fruits and cotton fabrics.
Approximately 50 Belarusian enterprises operate in Tajikistan through their distribution network. 
In 2017, Belarusian agricultural machinery assembly plant was established in the city of Gissar.
In 2000, the Belarusian-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was established, chaired by the ministers of agriculture. 
On September 18, 2025, the 18th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission was held in Dushanbe. 
The Roadmap for Bilateral Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022–2026 is currently being implemented. 
The Working Group on Investment Cooperation between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus and the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Joint Belarusian-Tajik Working Group on Cooperation in Science and Technology, the Belarusian-Tajik Joint Commission on International Automobile Communications, the Belarusian-Tajik Subcommission on the Development of Cooperation in Industrial Cooperation, and the Belarusian-Tajik Business Council are currently in operation. 
An investment project of the multifunctional “Tajikistan” Trade House is being implemented in Minsk. 
Interregional cooperation agreements have been signed between the Vitebsk, Minsk, and Mogilev regions of the Republic of Belarus and the Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Gomel and Khatlon regions, the cities of Minsk and Dushanbe, Mogilev and Khujand, and the Uzda and Yavan, Mogilev, and Spitamen regencies.
