23.10.2026

On October 23, 2026, the Ambassador of Belarus to Tajikistan, Alexander Khudoleyev, gave an interview to journalists from the Tajik radio station “Navo.”
Appearing on the daytime program “Nepara,” Alexander Khudoleyev answered questions from hosts Anaita Shamsiyeva and Kirill Mednikov, discussing the current state and future development of Belarusian-Tajik cooperation.

The Ambassador noted that the relationship between the two nations and their peoples is rooted in a shared historical past and a rich cultural heritage, characterized by a high degree of trust, mutual understanding, and fraternal friendship. He highlighted the role of the national leaders of Belarus and Tajikistan—Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon—in fostering a dynamic and mutually beneficial bilateral partnership, which has now reached the level of a strategic partnership.

Alexander Khudoleyev also addressed trade and economic cooperation, outlining prospects for increasing sales of Belarusian products in Tajikistan and expanding collaboration in industry, agriculture, and the service sector.
Furthermore, the participants discussed in detail the cultural and humanitarian ties between Belarus and Tajikistan, emphasizing the importance of this area for preserving historical memory and countering attempts to distort it. They noted a growing interest among Tajik youth in pursuing education in Belarus, as well as the value of cultural exchanges, such as performances and visits by artistic groups and performers. Specifically, they highlighted the increasing popularity of festivals like “Listapad,” “Toji Somon,” and the “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk,” as well as the annual “Days of Culture” and “Days of Cinema” events held in both Belarus and Tajikistan. The hosts showed great interest in Belarus’s tourism offerings. In response, the Belarusian Ambassador provided a detailed overview of the country’s potential—not only in the leisure and recreation sector but also in its national health and sanatorium-resort treatment system, which is built upon advanced expertise and top-tier innovative technologies.
In the final part of the interview, Alexander Khudoleyev shared his initial impressions of Dushanbe and Tajikistan with the Tajik audience, and wished all the listeners peace, prosperity, and all the very best.
