About participation of the Belarusian delegation of international observers in the presidential elections of the Republic of Tajikistan

On October 11, 2020 the presidential elections of the Republic of Tajikistan were held. The international observers at the presidential elections were represented by the diplomats of the Embassy, Belarusian parliamentarians on behalf of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.

Observers visited more than 20 polling stations in Dushanbe and the regions of the Republic on the Election Day, talked to voters and had a number of meetings with officials.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Tajikistan Oleg Ivanov acted as one of the coordinators of the CIS observers. As a result of election observation, the final Statement of the Mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States was prepared and signed.

No complaints or violations were revealed during election monitoring by Belarusian observers.
