10.10.2024As part of interaction with Tajik institutions of higher education, on October 10, 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan V.A. Denisenko took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “New Directions for the Development of Science in Technical Branches” (Dushanbe).
In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus drew the attention of the conference participants to the fact that the beginning of the 21st century has become a period of rapid innovative development in all areas of science and technology, as well as the widespread penetration of high information technologies into our lives. In these conditions, according to V.A. Denisenko, the modern era should become a period of humanitarian culture, universal values and peace, otherwise the world will face a catastrophe, since the counterweight to the technocratic pressure that has engulfed society will disappear. He emphasized the inadmissibility of a situation in which the outstanding minds of humanity are not aimed at ensuring global prosperity and development, but at unleashing a new round of the “arms race”.
Tajik scientists and students of the university also listened to the speeches of the Director of the Representative Office of the International Secretariat for Water in the Republic of Tajikistan Olivier Normand, Country Director of the Board (Republic of Tajikistan), Pawan Kumar Peddi Indireddy, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Nizomov Jakhongir Nizomovich, as well as Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Safarov Kutbiddin Azizovich.
On the sidelines of the conference, a working meeting of V.A. Denisenko with the leadership of the Engineering and Technical Faculty of BNTU-TTU named after Academician M.S. Osimi was held, during which current issues of bilateral cooperation were agreed upon.
