On the participation of the Ambassador of Belarus in the International Conference dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Victory

On April 24, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan V. Denisenko took part in the International Conference on the theme “80 years of the Great Victory. We remember. We honor. We are proud.”
The conference was organized by the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan and the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan.
The participants of the event heard speeches by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Dushanbe, government agencies and higher education institutions of the republic.
During his report, V. Denisenko emphasized: «In the history of every nation, there are dates and events that are not subject to oblivion. In this regard, the Republic of Belarus attaches special and great importance to the theme of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945».
According to him, Western ideologists are trying to distort the history of this war, to present the victory in it as their own, first of all, the USA and Great Britain, deliberately hushing up and distorting the decisive role of the USSR in the defeat of Germany and its allies. In this regard, the Ambassador of Belarus called for a decisive rebuff to these fabrications.
V. Denisenko also informed the conference participants about the large-scale work carried out by the Belarusian authorities to protect the historical truth and educate young people in the spirit of patriotism.
Following the event, the speakers agreed that only by preserving the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War can we overcome any difficulties and obstacles, ensure prosperity and well-being, pass on a rich heritage to future generations, and maintain peace and stability for our countries.
