About the transfer of a series of books “The Book heritage of Francis Skaryna” to the National Library of Tajikistan

On February 14, 2022, within the framework of the International Book Donation Day, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko donated to the National Library of Tajikistan a series of books “The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna” in 20 volumes published for the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing. The famous graphic artist Konstantin Vashchenko worked on the design of the multi-volume edition.

During the meeting with the Director of the National Library of Tajikistan, Jumakhon Faizalizoda, topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of library and information activities were discussed, including the organization and holding of joint events, exchange of experience in all areas of library activity.

Ambassador of Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko noted that libraries are the most important link in the preservation and transmission of historical and cultural heritage, play a significant role in the system of intercultural interaction of fraternal peoples.
