On the meeting with the First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan

The state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Tajik interparliamentary cooperation were discussed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan V. Denisenko with the First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Sh. Shohiyon. The meeting took place on August 28, 2025, at the initiative of the Belarusian side.

Currently, Sh. Shohiyon is the head of the Friendship and Cooperation Group of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan with the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. In this regard, the Tajik representative confirmed the interest of the deputy corps of Tajikistan in a comprehensive increase in interaction with Belarusian parliamentarians.

In turn, V. Denisenko informed Sh. Shohiyon about the state of affairs in the sphere of bilateral contacts, focusing on the positive dynamics of political, trade, economic and cultural cooperation. In addition, the Ambassador of Belarus and the First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli agreed on approaches to organizing joint events in the near future, including holding the next meeting of the friendship group in the Republic of Belarus. 
The parties agreed that the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation meets the interests of our states and is necessary to maintain a high level of strategic partnership.
