On the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation

On July 28, 2026, the 19th meeting of the Belarusian-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Brest.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Gorlov, and the Tajik delegation was led by Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan Kurbon Hakimzoda.

The meeting was also attended by the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan, Alexander Khudoleyev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing trade, economic, investment, and interregional cooperation. Ways to expand cooperation in industrial cooperation, agriculture and food, transport, communications, digitalization, light and pharmaceutical industries, and the social sphere were explored. Cooperation through chambers of commerce and industry and free economic zones was a separate agenda item.
The event program includes visits to industrial and agricultural enterprises in the Brest Region.
