Ambassador of Belarus V.Denisenko meets the Prime Minister of Tajikistan K.Rasulzoda

On January 6, 2022 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the topical issues of the bilateral cooperation with a focus on the implementation of the joint long-term economic and humanitarian projects.

Special attention was paid to the activities of the Joint Belarus-Tajikistan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, particularly the organization of the next session in Belarus in the first half of 2022.

The parties stressed the need for the implementation of new initiatives aimed at increasing the bilateral trade turnover.    

The Prime Minister of Tajikistan was updated on the socio-economic and internal political situation in Belarus, including the main aspects of the forthcoming referendum on the Constitution amendment.

The sides positively noted the progressive development of the bilateral political and economic dialogue, as well as emphasized the need to develop a program document (Roadmap) for the medium term in order to give additional impetus to mutually beneficial cooperation.
